Winter Months Can Be an Effective Time to Sell Your Home |

You've probably heard the cliche, "It's a good time to sell." Ultimately, whether or not its a good time to buy or sell real estate depends
on your personal circumstances.
If you've outgrown your current home, or are ready to make your first home purchase, the timing may be right for you. But if you've just moved into a new home, even the best market conditions aren't likely to entice you to repack those boxes. Although the months of April, May and the summer months are historically the most popular for listing a home for sale, less inventory in February and March means your home becomes more prominent among those for sale. But with fewer homes for sale on the market and potential home buyers who aren't distracted by spring and summer outdoor activities, February and March can be an opportune time to make a move. Likewise, buyers historically make more offers on homes during the month of March than any other time of year. So, if you're planning to sell your home or you're being relocated out of the area, the sooner may really be the better.
